Spiral Jetty White T Shirt
Spiral Jetty is an earthwork sculpture constructed in April 1970 that is considered to be the most important work of American sculptor Robert Smithson. Built on the northeastern shore of the Great Salt Lake near Rozel Point in Utah entirely of mud, salt crystals, and basalt rocks, Spiral Jetty forms a 1,500-foot-long , 15-foot-wide counterclockwise coil jutting from the shore of the lake.
The sculpture on this T Shirt is made out of VHS tapes. Found and reclaimed tapes from the streets of Chinatown, Manhattan are laid atop one another in a domino format. The piece was originally composed in 2012 for an exhibition in Soho alongside other friends and acquaintances. It was packed up in a box and put away somewhere. Now it exists on a shirt.
